Celebrity Evolution

Most celebrities fall into one or more recognizable categories. These categories evolve, more or less, and you can trace their development from one celebrity to another over time. For example let's look at a basic male archetype.

The Maverick Anti Hero— Basically a good guy but he has to do things HIS way...if his clothes are somewhat rumpled, so much the better. You can trace his evolution below:

Gene Hackman - In The French Connection

Clint Eastwood - Add bigger gun, raised eyebrow

Harrison Ford - Add hat, bull whip

Bruce Willis - Add attitude, lose bull whip, some hair

Kurt Russell - Add muscles, lose personality

Shia LeBouf - Add puberty, lose muscles, cool

How many of these buzz words can you fit into a sentence?

The epidode is entitled "17 People". President Bartlett needs help making one of his speeches funnier, so the whole staff is dragged into a rewrite session. Eventually, someone reaches for a book, 10,000 Jokes, Toasts & Stories, the jacket clearly visible on the screen.

Michael Pilla designed that jacket in 1988. Looks like it's now a classic.
